Carson's 2nd birthday was a success. I made him a Lightning McQueen look-a-like cake (with lots of help from my sister). We had family and friends over to Mimi's house for an evening barbecue. The kids had a blast playing in the backyard. The 3 Amigos (Carson, Caelen, and Brooke) kept knocking over the soccer goal which might have interfered with the bigger kids' game. Mimi cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. My favorite picture is the one of Caelen and Carson standing at the grill waiting and waiting for Mimi to put hot dogs on their plates. After dinner, we brought out the pinata (what's a party without one?). We had some good hitters, but thanks to Gannon the pinata was finally knocked down. Even baby Jennifer enjoyed picking the candy up. She had her first bite of a Snickers bar (I think she's hooked). Carson loved his cupcakes with little cars on top. The problem was that he didn't understand why he couldn't take all the cars off. In fact, he was caught sneaking in there a couple of times and was successful in removing some of the cars.
