1 Year Check-Up

Carson had his 1 year check-up which included a "test" of sorts. They had a list of things that he "should" be doing at 12 months and he passed with flying colors. There were 2 things that he didn't do. He wouldn't stack the blocks yet and he had a hard time figuring out how to dump the cheerios out of the glass jar (he figured out how to shake it so the cheerios would pop out and then he grinned at the Dr.).

He also had to get 4 shots (including the flu shot) which did not make him happy. There was a little "incident" after we left the doctor's office. We had to stop by the lab so they could prick Carson's finger to run some tests. She pricked the finger, Carson screamed and a few minutes later I heard Chris getting upset. He kept asking her "what are you doing?" so I ran in there and found Carson with a bloody hand. He had blood all over his shirt and pants and running down his arm. Evidently, she squeezed it to get more blood out and then it wouldn't stop. She panicked, Chris got upset and it didn't help having a screaming baby. It wasn't a good visit - don't think we'll be going back.
