With all this construction/remodeling going on around the house, Carson has picked up some new skills. Here he is trying to knock a cabinet out with a metal pole. When the pole doesn't work he decides to use his head (he gets his common sense from his dad's side of the family). This empty cabinet has fascinated Carson for the last several nights. He just stands in there banging things around until we move him.

I don't know why it tickled me so much to put this monkey backpack on Carson tonight. It has a "leash" attached to it so you can keep control of your kid(???). He was so funny to watch as he crawled around playing with a monkey on his back. His extra passenger didn't seem to bother him - although the tail/leash did get in the way every now and then. Also, it probably wasn't too funny when the dogs would step on the leash and stop Carson dead in his tracks (but it sure entertained me for awhile).

Carson and the monkey had to get back to work. They decided to "paint" the walls with the paint stick because it made more noise than the paint brush (which is laying on the floor by his feet).

I had one of those for Scout, but it was a puppy instead of a monkey. And it was genius at the airport when she was like 18 mos and really wanted to walk everywhere. So, remember that when you take some big trip over spring break ;)
