We've Moved!

One night in June, Chris came home from basketball and told me about a house for sale in the "Reservation" neighborhood (which is a nice older area that we've always loved). We weren't in the market to buy a house and we hadn't planned on moving. For the fun of it, we decided to go look at the house. Of course, we fell in love with it and the price was a bargain - only problem was that we needed to sell our house. We had heard the market wasn't good for sellers so we didn't want to get our hopes up. Through word of mouth we found a couple who wanted to come look at our house (we hadn't even listed it with a realtor yet) and 2 hours after they looked at it they called and put in an offer. One month later, and lots of stressful moments we have sold our house and moved into the new one!!!

Moving (as most people know) is tough and as we found out it is 100 times harder with a 9 month old baby. To make things even more challenging, we tried to get rooms painted at the new house before we moved in and have new flooring installed throughout the house. Anyways, we are moved in now, although we still have boxes to unpack, but we are loving the new house. I'll post pictures as we get each room unpacked and cleaned up. Here are a few pictures from the move.
It was bittersweet saying goodbye to the old house. We had lived there for 15 years and it was full of lots of great memories for us. We are really going to miss that house. This was the back sun room which was just a screened in porch when we first bought the house.

Piles of boxes waiting to be moved.

We did lots of little repairs and fix ups before we moved in to the new house. Carson wanted in on the action too.
According to Papa, you're never to young to learn how to use tools.

The painting in this picture was done by our great friend, John. I don't know if you can tell, but it's a golden retriever sitting on a hillside watching tennis balls fly through the sky (instead of stars).
With the new house, came a new baby also.

Our baby weighed approximately 600 lbs. and is 4'8" long.

Finally, Chris has his baby grand piano he's always wanted.
