We made a HUGE mistake tonight. No, let me clarify that and say that Chris made a HUGE mistake. He thought it would be fun to let Carson stand on a kitchen chair and help him wash vegetables and cook dinner. Once Carson saw how the kitchen faucet could move and spray he was NOT going to go quietly. He screamed for 30 minutes after Chris took him off the chair (and I'm not exaggerating). When screaming didn't work, he resorted to kicking, hitting, stomping, you name it - he tried it. Finally, when we couldn't stand it anymore we stripped him down and put his naked little bootie in the sink. Little did we realize that this would only be a TEMPORARY fix. Once it was time to take him out - the screaming, kicking, crying started all over. Have you ever tried to hold a wet, slippery kid who doesn't want to be held???? The ending to this story is that I threw a diaper on him and Chris drove him around the neighborhood until he fell asleep.
We need to wash dishes and clean up the kitchen, but we're waiting for Carson to go to bed.

the whole sink thing will get you every time. we suffer with the bathroom sink-itis as well. It lasts until they are about 3 1/2, so I just try to never let them near sinks.
