OK, Chris and I have managed to break all the "good parenting" rules. Back when we were preparing for our monkey to arrive, we had really good intentions. We read the recommended books, searched the Internet, and sought advice from everyone we knew. Together we decided no TV for our little one until the age of 2 - studies showed that it might contribute to ADHD. We had read how important a good sleep schedule was and we were prepared to get our baby on the right track. We took our time picking out the best mattress and crib for him so that he would be comfortable. His room was equipped with musical mobiles and nightlights.
Fast forward 15 months and here's our progress...

Here he is laying in our bed, watching Dora on my Iphone and if you can see the clock in the back you'll notice it's 9:47 p.m. and he's not asleep yet.

LOL. great post. Well, if it makes you feel better, I just read a book "Freakonomics" that stated TV doesn't matter and either does most of what parents obsess about. So, all is well. Carry on.
